Strat.1 Review and revise the current duties and responsibilities of the SAA to specifically include aspects of law enforcement, security, and emergency preparedness. The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) Act (2014) grants the SAA the powers, privileges and immunities of the police within the precinct of NASS.

Strat.1 The House of Representatives, through the ongoing Internal Security Bill (HB.1632), is undertaking a comprehensive review of the duties and responsibilities of the Security Access Areas (SAA). This legislative process seeks to clearly align SAA functions with modern security needs by strengthening their roles in law enforcement, security operations, and emergency preparedness. While the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) Act (2014) already grants the SAA the powers, privileges, and immunities of the police within the National Assembly precincts, HB.1632 aims to update and operationalise these mandates to ensure more effective and coordinated security management. Strat.2 There is no publicly available information confirming that the 10th House of Representatives has organized specific training programs for the Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA) personnel.
