Strat.1 As ast April, 2025, the National Transport Policy has not been finalized. The 10th House of Representatives' Committee on Transportation has been actively involved in legislative and oversight functions to support the development and implementation of this policy. This include: 1. egislative Oversight and Support: The Committee has conducted oversight functions to monitor and facilitate the progress of the National Transport Policy. 2. Budgetary Allocations and Approvals: The Committee has played a role in reviewing and approving budgetary allocations related to transportation infrastructure and policy development, ensuring that necessary funds are allocated for the finalization and implementation of the National Transport Policy.
Strat.2 The 10th Nigerian House of Representatives has allocated significant funds for constructing, maintaining, and upgrading national transport infrastructure in the 2025 budget. The approved budget made provision in 2023 for tranport and rail was 147.49 and 92.63 billion respectively; while in 2025 the House approved 700 billion and 41.49 billion naira for tranport infrastructure and rail respectively.
