For instance the budget allocation for primary and secondary education in Nigeria increased in 2024 compared to 2023. In the 2024 budget, the federal government allocated approximately ₦2.18 trillion to the education sector. This allocation is higher than the ₦1.08 trillion allocated to the Ministry of Education in the 2023 budget.
