  "The Senate collaborates closely with the House of Representatives through Joint and Conference Committees, particularly on constitutional amendments, budget and finance harmonisation, and electoral reform initiatives. While engagements between the leadership of both chambers are often issue-driven and conducted on an as-needed basis rather than through a permanent institutional mechanism, they have fostered effective inter-chamber cooperation. Also guided by the principle of reciprocity, the Senate demonstrated strong synergy with the House of Representatives in the consideration and passage of key legislation. For instance the Federal Polytechnics Act (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (HB. 2114) and Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill, 2026 (HB. 935), were few among many bills sent from the House of Representatives and passed by the Senate on the 2nd June 2026 plenary (https://www.instagram.com/p/DZH8JapjPBA/). This collaborative approach has contributed to timely legislative action and strengthened the effectiveness of the National Assembly in advancing governance and democratic reforms."
